I first learned Mahjong a few years ago and to be honest, I didn’t love it. The rules felt confusing, the pace was intimidating, and the fun I’d heard about just wasn’t there. But then, a few friends encouraged me to play again. We started meeting regularly, laughing through the mistakes, celebrating every Mahjong, and before long we were hooked.

I slowly started teaching friends and realized that I had the “special sauce” that was missing from my own learning experience. That spark of understanding and fun is what makes the game come alive.
